Poll reveals half of Brits believe Government has done a ‘bad job’ of Brexit: According to a recent Government poll, 48 per cent of the British public already believe that the UK Government has mishandled Britain’s departure from the European Union. On the other hand, a further 37 per cent said that the Government has done a ‘good job’ and the remaining 15 per cent did not know.Poll reveals half of Brits believe Government has done a ‘bad job’ of Brexit

With the poll revealing that half of the public believes that the Government has done a ‘bad job’ of Brexit, Boris Johnson was recently criticised by European leaders who feel that he has made basic mistakes involving the European Union rules.

The poll also revealed that 44 per cent agree with the Prime Minister, Theresa May, that any vote in parliament about Article 50 should be limited to only the question of moving Article 50, which they would make May free to negotiate as she deems appropriate.

On the other hand, 37 per cent said that they were on the side of MPs, like Nick Clegg, who would like parliament to vote on the terms of Brexit, which will have an impact on Britain’s relationship with Europe in the future. This figure rose to 62 per cent when looking at the responses of just those in London.

A monthly poll discovered that the Conservatives currently are enjoying a nine point lead over the Labour party, with the Tories on 42 per cent, Labour on 33 per cent, the Liberal Democrats on 10 per cent and UKIP on 7 per cent.

Of the Conservatives in the survey, approximately 90 per cent said that they were satisfied with Theresa May’s performance so far, however, less than 50 per cent of Labour supporters said the same of Jeremy Corbyn.
