Market Research Jobs & Careers - Marketing Executive (PT/FT)

DJS Research Ltd is a UK market research agency based in Strines, Cheshire. We work with clients across the public, private and third sectors, including the European Commission, BooHoo.com, Liverpool FC, the Houses of Parliament, PepsiCo, Help for Heroes and DuPont among others. Established in 2001 and growing fast, we are currently looking to add to our marketing team.

We are looking for a web-savvy Marketing Executive who is interested in in-bound marketing, particularly social media, blogging, content development and dissemination and online marketing more generally. The candidate must be organised, creative and, most importantly, will possess a real flair for writing

We are looking for someone with top-notch grammar and spelling, and the ability to structure their writing in an engaging and structured way. This role is very much focussed on content creation and writing is a key part of the day-to-day role.

In addition, the candidate will have a passion for business, the desire to learn, the ability to use initiative and the confidence to make decisions or to ask questions when appropriate. You will thrive in a company centered on excellence with good opportunities for internal progression, going through a sustained period of growth and expansion.

In short, we are looking for a Marketing Executive who can really contribute to the business - ensuring current clients are engaged, and able to influence prospective clients to make that first contact through a joined up approach to marketing and communications.

On a day to day basis, this role will include:

  • Writing content for the company’s insights page and news articles
  • Uploading content to and managing the company website using our CMS system
  • Social media management across Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google+, YouTube and Vimeo. This includes growing our social following, creating engaging content and disseminating existing content to a wider audience.
  • Enhancing the company’s SEO through writing optimised content and link building
  • Managing the company’s PR efforts through writing press releases when a news opportunity arises and contacting journalists and PR contacts with news ideas
  • Sending twice-weekly company newsletters using iContact and Salesforce, our CRM system
  • Management of our CRM and developing the use of data driven marketing and segmentation techniques where relevant

About the ideal candidate:

  • A minimum of ABB at A-level or equivalent (IB 34+), at least one of which must be in an essay based subject
  • Strong performance at GCSE - (minimum A* - B in English, Maths and Science)
  • An interest in social media, blogging, content development and online marketing; web-savvy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a good knowledge of grammar
  • High attention to detail
  • Good organisational and self-motivational skills; the ability to work across several projects at once
  • The ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with fellow employees and potential business partners
  • Ability to work well under pressure and succeed in a fast paced environment
  • Commercial awareness - an interest in business and the ability to quickly understand key issues and requirements
  • The ability to ask questions when necessary, listen to answers to find solutions, and facilitate positive change

The successful candidate will initially have a three month probationary period, leading to a career in marketing and business development following agreement from both parties - we want you to like us as much as we like you.

We are happy to discuss Part-Time or Full-Time positions.

The candidate will have access to training and continued professional development and will be in direct contact with senior members of the team including the Head of Creative Services, the Associate Director responsible for marketing and communications, company directors and the Managing Director.
