Most recently, Research Director, James Hinde, along with David Marchant (Senior Research Manager) and Elliot Simmonds (Research Consultant), presented at the European Commission (Directorate of Growth) in relation to category F4 pyrotechnics, as well as several other interim presentations.

Whilst at the European Commission’s Headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, the team of researchers addressed an audience of delegates and interpreters from all 28 EU Member States.

Global Research Council

As well as Brussels, David Marchant has also recently travelled to New Delhi, India, where

he presented the findings of a recent research project into interdisciplinarity (commissioned by Research Councils UK) at the Global Research Council Annual Meeting 2016. 

At the Global Research Council, David presented the findings directly to the Heads and Chief Executives from Scientific Research councils and foundations all over the world.

FTA Logistics Skills Summit

FTA Logistics Skills Summit

Ali Sims Research Director) and Julie Rundall (Research Manager) were also invited to speak at the FTA Logistics Skills Summit about their recent public perceptions study covering the logistics industry. The Summit was held at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry where some 600 delegates attended.

Julie and Ali sat on a panel of speakers alongside Pilory Barn, who were responsible for driving the campaign which explored the public’s perception of the logistics industry.

The main focus of the Summit was to discuss recruiting, attracting and retaining talent within the logistics industry and the main barriers to overcoming the current skills gap.

MRS Kids and Youth Research conference

MRS Kids and Youth Research conferenceFollowing the launch of our parents, kids and teens market research community, Chatter Zone, Gill Redfern (Research Director) was invited to discuss gamification and online communities at the MRS Kids and Youth Research conference.

The conference featured speakers from a range of leading organisations such as: Disney, BBC Radio 1 Academy, CBBC, Sky Media, the Department for Education and Argos, amongst a plethora of others. Gill joined the line-up, to discuss DJS Research’s recent success in kids and youth research, and to provide further details about how gamification and reward can deliver results with these audiences in an online community setting.
