DJS Research speaks alongside Yorkshire Water at MRS Utilities Research Conference

On the 21st of September, Research Director, Ali Sims, will speak alongside Yorkshire Water in a panel discussion regarding engagement with vulnerable customers.

Having worked in the utilities sector for 15 years, Ali’s presentation at the Market Research Society’s Utilities Research Conference will focus on some of the issues vulnerable customers face.

Coinciding with the conference’s theme, the panel will discuss vulnerable customer strategies, and panellists will talk about how they respond to the challenge of engaging, building understanding and improving services for vulnerable customers.

The aim of the discussion is to help utility organisations develop an understanding of the specific needs of vulnerable customers and, as a result, build more effective support schemes that match customers' needs.

Speaking about her presentation, Ali Sims comments:“We are keen to share some of our experiences with others and Yorkshire Water will be talking about how they’re utilising the findings.”DJS Research speaks alongside Yorkshire Water at MRS Utilities Research Conference

She adds: Water and energy are essential commodities in everyday life and there is a lot of research conducted in the sector. We’ve chosen to talk about customers in vulnerable circumstances, because whether you’re a water company, an energy supplier or a DNO you have a duty to support them.”
