Four new starters arrrive at DJS Research!

Following a sustained period of growth, we are pleased to announce the arrival of four new members of staff – all of whom join the research team. The new starters are part of an on-going recruitment drive to allow us to continue to offer the highest quality research to our clients, which has seen us recently named to the MRS’ ‘ones-to-watch’ list.

Speaking about the new starters, Danny Sims, Managing Director, congratulated all four on their immediate contribution to the team:

As a growing agency we have an on-going need for high-quality researchers across a range of levels, and we are always looking for exciting talent to join us. Liz, Magda, Matt and Matt have each made an immediate impact, working on some very high profile projects and ensuring that we continue to deliver top quality outputs to clients old and new. We’re very excited to have them on board as we move in to our new financial year.”

Liz, Magda, Matt and Matt are profiled below.

Liz Murphy

Senior Research Manager

Liz began her research career in 2007 at one of Scotland’s largest independent research agencies, Progressive Partnership. Here she gained experience conducting qualitative and quantitative projects for various private and public sector clients including the Scottish Government, Skills Development Scotland, SNP, Scottish Legal Aid Board, HSBC and Kwik Fit Insurance.

Prior to joining DJS Research, Liz has worked at a range of larger and smaller agencies, including IFF Research, Carat and Family, Kids and Youth. This has provided her with a range of research skills, and she has vast experience conducting research of a sensitive nature with vulnerable audiences such as asylum seekers, disaffected youths and gang members, prisoners and those suffering from drug abuse.

Matt Prince

Research Manager

On graduation from the University of Hull in 2008, Matt worked for Staffordshire Police and National Skills Academy for Financial Services, before starting his market research career in 2010 at Ipsos MORI. Following three successful years specialising in finance and technology research, Matt moved to Leeds-based McCallum Layton to gain a broader sector understanding, including law, manufacturing, retail and utilities.

He joins DJS Research with extensive experience across B2B and consumer research, and will be working extensively in our utilities market research team.

Matt Rhead

Senior Research Executive

After graduating from the University of Lancaster, Matt joined the Kantar Millward Brown graduate scheme in October 2014. He progressed quickly through the ranks, eventually leaving the organisation as a Senior Client Executive having worked with leading brands – including PepsiCo and LEGO – on brand and communications orientated research.

Magdalena Bober

Research Executive

Magda joined DJS Research in January 2017, holding a PhD in Information and Communications from Manchester Metropolitan University and a Masters in Mass Communication Research from the University of Leicester.

She has an enviable academic research background, including time at Manchester Metropolitan University, the London School of Economics and the Department for Education, as well as a period spent as a self-employed research consultant.

Magda has particular experience in conducting research with children, young people, students, teachers, lecturers and parents. She is experienced in using qualitative and quantitative methods and has also used creative approaches to gathering insights, including visual methods and LEGO, and has worked with and on-behalf of organisations such as Futurelab, the BBC, Ofcom and the RSPCA.
