We are tackling a research project on behalf of Leicester City Football Club: We are thrilled to announce that we have been selected to conduct a market research project on behalf of Leicester City Football Club – a football club very close to our Managing Director, Danny Sims’ heart!
Danny said of the fantastic new client win: “As a supporter of Leicester City Football Club, for DJS Research to be able to work with them on a research project is magnificent! The market research will involve considerable interaction with LCFC’s fans, with the aim to find out how satisfied King Power Stadium’s visitors are with the accessibility for those with disabilities. It’s a research project the whole team are very excited about!”
Recently football clubs in the English Premier League have started to make noticeable improvements to build on a tradition of welcoming fans with disabilities to their stadiums. Since the Taylor Report was published in 1990, football clubs have realised that there is more work to be done to make football grounds more accessible for supporters with disabilities.
The programme of changes is the largest and most ambitious set of improvements to disability access, which has been started by any group of sport or entertainment venues in the United Kingdom. The foundations to which the improvements are being made is technically challenging in many cases, as some infrastructures are in excess of 150 years old. Despite these challenges, all Premier League clubs in the UK are already very involved in the enhancements.
As part of the study for Leicester City Football Club, we will engage with fans of the club to measure how satisfied they currently are with services and accessibility for supporters with a disability and also will explore the potential for improvements to King Power Stadium.
This project for Leicester City Football Club is the latest in a string of high profile client wins in the sport sector for us – including the Welsh Rugby Union, Sport England, and a range of private sector entities comprising several Barclays Premier League football clubs, a leading women’s football club, an online yoga provider and a major running shoes manufacturer.
