Emma joined DJS Research in August 2018 as a Junior Research Executive as part of their Graduate Programme. She graduated from the University of Manchester receiving a 1:1 BSocSc (Hons) in Sociology.

At university she focussed her studies on history, social inequality and social theories, winning the staff prize for her final dissertation on American social movements in the late 20th century.

Throughout her degree, she learnt a lot about the theoretical aspects of research and was keen to gain some practical experience. Since starting at DJS she has begun doing this, working on a range of qualitative and quantitative research projects. She has already worked across a wide range of sectors, hoping in particular to further her experience within the public, culture and healthcare sectors.
