Kate has worked in market research since 2000, having worked at some of the larger, international market research companies, including Ipsos (now Ipsos-MORI), and Harris Interactive, before joining DJS Research as a Research Manager in 2009, progressing to Associate Director and subsequently to Research Director. Kate specialises in research in the Not for Profit sectors with particular areas of specialism including:

  • Voluntary sector
  • Charities
  • Education
  • Arts & Culture

She has experience of conducting a wide range of projects for clients in these sectors, including both qualitative and quantitative research, and is a specialist in delivering complex projects involving large scale samples and statistical analyses.  Her projects have been diverse, meeting all the needs of the sectors, including branding research, customer journey & satisfaction, audience & customer profiling and segmentation.

Kate has been instrumental in developing a number of proprietorial products delivered by DJS Research including Alumnus for the Higher Education sector and MOVE for the Visitor Attraction and Culture sector.

Kate excels at understanding her client’s needs and ensuring that we deliver quality, actionable insights, particularly through engaging and innovative presentations. 

Kate has a BSc (Hons) in Psychology with Criminal Justice from University of Plymouth and the MRS Advanced Certificate. In addition to research she takes a lead role in supporting staff development and training, particularly supporting our junior researchers to study for the MRS Advanced Certificate qualification.
