DJS Research Announce MRBA Auction Winner

24th August 2011 09:14

DJS Research Ltd are strong supporters of the Market Research Benevolent Association (MRBA); the market research industry's independent, registered charity which provides financial assistance to people who work or who have worked in the industry.

As part of its fundraising activities the MRBA hold an annual online auction to which DJS Research were glad to donate a pair of tickets to the England vs. Wales Rugby Union match, held at Twickenham on August 6th. Thanks to the generosity of individuals and organisations throughout the Market Research industry, the auction raised over £6000 for the charity - an increase of £500 on the previous year.

Sandra McRory, the winning bidder for DJS’s Twickenham tickets, is a long time supporter of the MRBA:

“I have bid in the auction for a number of years, it is a fun way to donate money to a very worthwhile charity and I think all of the companies and individuals who donate items and Linda Henshall at NFC who pulls it all together deserve a huge thank you.”

Sandra, who lives reasonably close to Twickenham, was accompanied by her husband to see England defeat Wales 23-19 in what was a closely fought encounter. Following the game, she has already begun looking forward to next year’s auction:

“I look forward to seeing what goodies are to be auctioned in next year’s event and hope that if we spread the word through the industry we can boost the amount from the very excellent £6000 raised this year.”

Danny Sims, Managing Director of DJS Research Ltd congratulated Mrs McRory on her winning bid and said the agency was committed to further charitable efforts:

“We’re a growing agency and with increased size comes increased responsibility. We recognise that the market research industry is very much a people industry – and I think it’s only right that we look after those individuals and families who contributed to the industry and now need a bit of support.”
