Simon joined DJS Research in August, 2017 as one of our Research Directors. After working as a Research Director in the Customer Experience division for Future Thinking, Simon brings with him a wealth of experience, covering public and private sector research and specialises in the sports and utilities sectors, including both B2B and consumer research.
After graduating with a BA in Human Geography, Simon started his research career in 2005 at RBA Research in Leeds.
In 2007, Simon joined Future Thinking (based in London) where he gained extensive experience in the sports sector, working with clients including: Sport England, UK Sport, British Rowing, English Federation of Disability Sport, Zwift and the English Institute of Sport. He has a passion for sport and has worked with these organisations to provide insight and guidance to support increased participation in sport and exercise in the UK.
In the utilities sector, Simon has carried out numerous research projects to help energy providers improve customer satisfaction, reduce churn and develop new services for customers. He has also worked with public sector bodies including CCWater, Ofwat and Ofgem.
Other recent research programmes include work for TfL, Capita, Carbon Trust, BT and the Met Office.
Simon has built strong relationships with his client base and works closely with them to deliver impactful and actionable research programmes. He is a strong communicator and is always keen to explore innovative ways of presenting research findings to clients and helping embed insights within the business.
