Anthea has more than two decades of experience in market research and began her career at Millward Brown in Warwick as a project manager handling both UK and international quantitative projects for a variety of well-known clients such as Coca Cola and Levi’s. She then moved into a specialist team of estimators where she was responsible for estimating all types of projects, offering advice on methodologies and field issues, liaising with overseas agencies, and negotiating on estimates.
Her final role at Millward Brown (the Operations sections of which became Kantar Operations in 2004) was Field Manager, where she was responsible for a large offsite team, including regional team leaders and offsite supervisors throughout the whole of the UK. As a senior member of the field management team she was also involved in all aspects of day to day running of the field department – setting budgets, recruitment, and reviewing and implementing systems.
In 2006 Anthea returned to her home city of Manchester and worked for some smaller agencies where she developed her skills in qualitative research, and also developed her experience in different sectors such as the arts / culture and medical fieldwork. She was also responsible for implementing and maintaining quality standards to ISO 20252. In 2012 Anthea moved to TNS Global where she had the role of Field Resources and Processes Manager. She was responsible for fieldwork issues, interviewer pay and maintaining quality standards.
Throughout her career in market research Anthea has gained experience of managing both quantitative and qualitative projects, in the UK and overseas and on a continuous or ad hoc basis across a wide variety of sectors. She also has a specialist knowledge of quality standards in the market research industry.
In 2014 Anthea joined DJS Research as Operations Manager and took on responsibility for field services, where she is able to apply this knowledge in helping to develop the field team both on and offsite, and manage a wide variety of projects.
In 2021 Anthea was promoted to Associate Director.
