Cara began her research career working in the Public Affairs team of the Chartered Management Institute where she worked for three years, gaining a good understanding of research from a client-side perspective.  She then joined Facts International where she worked initially as a full-service researcher before focusing on project and account management.  In 2018, with Facts merging into Watermelon Research (a customer experience agency), Cara became heavily involved in the fieldwork and data elements of projects working on multi-mode programmes of work for direct clients and other market research agencies in her role as a Project Director.  She joined DJS Research in February 2021 to help strengthen the field and data services offering of the business and to focus on client delivery.

Cara has worked across a wide range of sectors over her career, with particular experience in the following industries:

  • Water and utilities sectors
  • Food service
  • Housing Associations
  • Local Government
  • Financial services

Throughout her career, Cara has built up strong relationships with management consultancies, research agencies and direct clients and is often seen as a trusted fieldwork advisor for other market research agencies.

With extensive experience of managing complex ad hoc and continuous research projects and a good understanding of the entire research process, Cara has worked across all methodological approaches including Telephone, Face-to-Face, Online, IVR and SMS, and with her 20+ years of research experience and know how is especially adept at making sure the most appropriate fieldwork approach is used for each project she works on. 

Cara works within the Operations team which boasts dedicated research project managers, a large state of the art CATI unit (75+ Stations), 1000+ UK-based face to face market research field team, a dedicated qualitative recruitment team and a technical data capture / analysis team. The team offers a standalone service to both end clients and agencies.

She has a BA (Hons) in International Studies and Business, hold the MRS Certificate and is PRINCE 2 accredited.
