Team: Research Support
After graduating from Coventry University with a degree in History and Politics, Maggie started her career working for several health-related charities in London and the Midlands including Community Service Volunteers, The National Aids Trust, and the Sickle Cell Thalassemia society.
She also spent several years working with South East Thames Regional Health Authority (SETRHA) and North West Thames Regional Health Authority (NWTRHA) in London, on a wide range of health-related research projects targeted specifically at people from Black and minority ethnic communities, which focused on addressing the inequalities around access to care and the socioeconomic problems which bring about these inequalities. During this time she also obtained a certificate in training and development.
In 2001, Maggie had a complete change of career when she switched to the retail sector. She spent the next decade working for several gift experience website companies primarily in the areas of sales and business development.
Then, in 2014, she joined DJS research as a telephone interviewer, interviewing across all sectors. She has worked on a wide range of B2B and B2C projects and also had the opportunity to undertake other duties including semi-structured and depth interviews and script checking. Latterly, she joined the Research Support Team as a Project Assistant supporting researchers in a wide variety of tasks and is happy to be able to apply the skills she learnt as a telephone interviewer as well as learning new ones.
