Based in: Lancaster
Team: Rushup
Emily’s interest in research was piqued during her time at university, where she gained a first-class honours degree in Business and Marketing Management at Oxford Brookes University. During this period, Emily conducted a research project to assess the level of awareness of the environmental impact of single-use menstruation products, as well as how stigma around the topic determines buying behaviour.
After completing her degree, Emily went on to work for a technology company specialising in text analysis and comparative linguistics, using online platforms to conduct market research on behalf of customers. She has worked across a multitude of sectors and industries including policy research, FMCG, entertainment, healthcare, and technology, but has a particular interest in social research.
Emily joined DJS as a Research Executive with Team Rushup in April 2023 and has expanded her knowledge and skill set to become a fantastic and well-rounded researcher who is equally comfortable with qual and quant. In March 2025 she received a well deserved promotion to the role of Research Manager in recognition of her hard work and valuable contributions to significant projects within the team.
