Alex Noden

Team: Research Support

Alex graduated from the University of Lancaster in 1993 with a BSc hons in Psychology. She subsequently worked in London, in a variety of fashion retail head offices including River Island, Bentalls, Racing Green and Hawkshead. She was latterly Merchandiser for the mail order company, Boden, where her job involved statistical analysis and planning. Alex moved away from London in 2002, and took a career break to raise a family.  During this time, Alex also trained to become a counsellor, and qualified in 2010.

Following her career break, Alex returned to the business world, this time to DJS Research where she embarked on a career in research. Alex worked her way up to become Research Manager in 2015, but then took a side step to become a Project Assistant, helping out on a whole variety of research projects across the entire research team. In August 2023, Alex was promoted to Research Support Team Manager.

As a result of her business background and personal life, Alex has a particular interest in retail and health but really enjoys the variety that her role provides her, enabling her to work across all sectors and businesses.  Alex is passionate about supporting the research team in delivering engaging and actionable insight for our clients.

As well as her degree, Alex holds the MRS Advanced Certificate in Market and Social Research Practice.

Away from work, Alex loves being outside and is often found running or walking the dog on the many wonderful footpaths and trails that the Peak District has to offer!

In addition to her research role, Alex is one of our trained mental health first aiders.
