Judgement sample is a type of non-random sampling consisting of a group of respondents who have been selected on the basis that their views, characteristics, opinions, behaviour and outlook will be representative of a whole population. The sample is often selected by an 'expert' - in market research, sometimes the client company or an independent observer.
