Mode: Market Research

The mode is a form of average which looks at the most commonly occuring value or response in a set of data. The mode can be a numerical value or an item for instance.

For example, in the following data sets, the mode would be 6 in the first, and Yellow in the second.

1). 5,6,7,9,9,6,2,3,6,7,6,1,14.

2). Green, Blue, Red, Yellow, Red, Yellow, Yellow, Pink, White, Black.
