Modelling Market Research

Modelling, or predictive modelling, is the application of a set of assumptions to a number of variables and the relationship existing between those variables. Predictive modelling is useful for trying to understand the future and often tests hypotheses or hypothetical situations. Predicitive modelling most often utilises data which already exists and has been verified, and projects it forward to statistically suggest future patterns - such as consumer habits for instance.
