2017 DJS Research Annual Review


A huge thank you to our clients, respondents, suppliers and staff: A summary of our 2017…

It has been another fantastic year for our company as we continue to strive to make our mark on the market research industry – and it is being noticed. The Market Research Society (MRS) named us as the ‘One to Watch Agency’, we’ve been speaking at their conferences and winning awards, again!

We have also been credited for both our research services and charitable efforts in the news and at MRS conferences and have welcomed some high-profile clients.

Double-digit growth & another office

We have had another double-digit year of growth, bringing us up to 12 consecutive years where our turnover has organically grown by at least 10 percent each year.   

Our expansion means that we have now outgrown our existing premises in Stockport, Cheshire leading us to open a new office in Leeds, Yorkshire. To celebrate our achievement, we decided to host an open evening where special guest, Jane Frost CBE (CEO of the Market Research Society), was present to say a few kind words about us and the buoyant UK market research industry.  



Attracting further research talent

The new office in Leeds is already helping us to facilitate further recruitment and attract talented members of staff in both our Research and Operations departments; including Research Director, Simon Driver who moved from London as well as Research Manager, Caroline Benfield. Having 25 years of experience in the research industry between them, they are well set for the new office in Leeds. 




Continuing to build our client base

This year we have continued to maintain, as well as build, relationships with a number of new clients, including Leicester City Football Club, Superdry, Joules and Kawasaki Engines. Thanks to all of our clients who are integral to our success. 



Press exposure

We are pleased to notice that our research has gained popularity in the press; a number of our reports were featured in articles written by the likes of The Guardian, The Independent, BBC News and The Telegraph.  Our research wasn’t the only thing that made the cut as, earlier this year, some of our team completed the Manchester 10K race on behalf of Manchester Hospitals and won the mixed team category award for the third year running! Shortly after crossing the finish line, our Senior Research Executive, Faye Waterhouse was interviewed by Denise Lewis OBE about our team’s charitable efforts!

Staying involved in the local community

After previously raising £2998.23 for the Together Trust, we continued with the theme of fitness (Manchester 10K and 12-mile Tough Mudder) to raise as much money as possible for our  and Manchester Hospitals. We are happy to announce that we have raised over £5,000 for the charities!
