A baker’s dozen and one more for good luck – 14 well-deserved promotions!

Back in February we announced a raft of well-deserved promotions across our organisation. As the year hurtles towards its close, we couldn’t be more thrilled to be sharing news of even MORE promotions within our Research and Operations team.
Read on to find out who's been moving on up and what their line managers have to say about them; it's fair to say, they're proud as punch.
In Research we celebrate the ascent of Jamie Lawson to AD, two new SRMs and moves up to Senior RE and RE…
Jamie Lawson - promoted to Associate Director
Jamie has continued to really excel in his role at DJS over the past 12-18 months. His performance is reflected in many achievements within project delivery and beyond. Jamie contributes immensely to the development and growth of our organisation and is a valued member of our Productivity and Efficiency team, focussing on developments within the world of AI). Well done Jamie.
Mark Byrne – promoted to Senior Research Manager
Mark has grown into an experienced and highly capable researcher and project manager since joining DJS in 2018. He manages clients extremely well and has a very clear explaining style bringing clients through the project process and is an excellent presenter. Mark is also someone who is always willing to take the time to mentor new and junior staff. He’s a key member of team Cloud and of DJS and we are pleased to announce his well-deserved promotion.
Jess Gillingham –promoted to Senior Research Manager
Jess joined DJS 2 years ago and in that time has become an integral part of Shining Tor, the Wellbeing team and the wider business. Known by many for her pun-tastic Bake Off emails, Jess brings a positive attitude to everything she does. Since joining us she’s developed a particular specialism in Children and Young People research, managing large-scale quant and qual projects in this area. Congratulations Jess on your well-earned promotion to SRM!
Saffron Goodwin – promoted to Senior Research Executive
Saff is a core member of Shining Tor, but actually started out in CATI back in her student days. Since joining the Research team, she has developed a wealth of research skills and project management experience, working on projects for a whole host of clients. She’s built up some great PM experience already and we can’t wait to watch her flourish as SRE – congrats Saff!
Nicola Shorrock – promoted to Research Executive
Nicola has been an invaluable member of the Haven Hill team since she joined us. Her enviable focus and attention to detail have helped to get us through the dozens of script tests, table checks and thousands of slides of charting, proofing and data checking that we do every year. She’s greatly expanded her skills in that time – moderating depths, completing observations and intercepts and supporting at deliberative groups. This month she’s stepped up further to take on project management – a really well deserved promotion, well done Nicola!
Field and Recruitment: we have not one, not two, but THREE moves up to Senior Field and Recruitment Executive for Amanda, Rebecca and Aoife...
Amanda Brightman – promoted to Senior Field and Recruitment Executive
Ever since Amanda started in the field team she has very enthusiastic, ambitious and keen to learn. She is now an experienced and valued member of the team, working on some large and complex projects. Amanda is particularly a strong recruiter and excels when managing recruitment projects large and small. She has a good eye for quality, has ownership of all her projects, and a will for them to succeed, going the extra mile when that is required. Well done Amanda
Rebecca Calderbank – promoted to Senior Field and Recruitment Executive
Since joining the Field team 6 years Rebecca has grown massively in experience, knowledge and confidence. She is a much valued member of the team – always coming up with ideas and thinking of new ways of doing things, the first to offer help and guidance and pitch in whenever anyone asks for help. Rebecca manages some big and is also our ‘queen of product tests’ and loves nothing more than getting to grips with the latest product to try! Well-deserved Rebecca!
Aoife Lynch – promoted to Senior Field and Recruitment Executive
Aoife is an extremely strong project manager and can deliver on all types – qual and quant, B2C & B2B. She takes everything in her stride, manages her workload very well by being organised and on top of things, is able to problem solve, and make decisions. Aoife an excellent recruiter with a fantastic conversion rate, a very fast learner, and good at picking things up quickly. Congratulations Aoife!

Dan Thompson - promoted to Research Manager
Dan has a great attitude to his work, is extremely hard-working and has the ability to remain calm in all situations - no matter what is thrown at him! Dan is a safe pair hands with good attention to detail and regularly receives great feedback from clients and peers alike. He has worked really hard to grow accounts and has managed to secure repeat business for a number of clients for Team Black by doing such a great job! The amount of work that Dan manages to get through is also very much appreciated and does not go unnoticed! Well done Dan!
Data and Panel Development: we celebrate a newly appointed Senior Data Executive and a brand new role in our panel development team…
Kathryn Hadfield – promoted to Senior Data Executive
Over the years, Kathryn has consistently demonstrated her immense value to the data team through her unwavering dedication and exceptional attention to detail. Her meticulous approach ensures that every aspect of a project is executed to the highest standards, while her driven and highly motivated work ethic elevates team performance. Whether navigating complex script or datasets, Kathryn’s contributions are both impactful and indispensable, solidifying her reputation as an invaluable asset to any project she undertakes. A truly well-deserved promotion.
Carly Parsons – promoted to Panel Development and Strategy Manager
Since joining DJS, Carly has put her technical skills and background in systems and data to good use in driving forward the growth and development of our in-house panel, Opinion Exchange. Carly has now moved into a more strategic role and will be leading strategic development and execution for Opinion Exchange with lots of exciting partnerships lined up already. Well done Carly, keep up the good work!
HR and Training: and last but my no means least, our HR and Training department continues to go from strength to strength with promotions to HR Advisor and Training Manager…
Rahat Imran – promoted to HR Advisor
Rahat has been with DJS for just over 3 years and is a great asset to the Company. She is enthusiastic and always goes above and beyond her role to ensure high quality HR advice is given. Rahat throws herself into all aspects of her role and always seeks to take on additional roles such as being part of the Wellbeing group and EO Voice. I am very pleased she is now being recognised as an HR advisor.
Sarah Smith – promoted to Training Manager
Sarah established our excellent JRE programme in 2021 and quickly identified a wider need for a more formal training framework across DJS Research. She became the Training Lead for our organisation and has continued to excel in this role. Sarah is highly respected within DJS and has recently joined the People pillar within our organisation and her promotion sees her taking on a more strategic role in Training/Learning and Development. Well done Sarah.
