As the awards night for the Stockport Business Awards edges closer, DJS Research Ltd is pleased to announce that it has been featured in the Stockport Express – with details of the company and its commitment to training young people and retaining them in the local economy.
Helen White, who helped to set up Marketing Stockport, a key sponsor for the Training Young People category on the awards night; said that Stockport was among the top ten towns in the country in terms of talent:
“It is important that we retain such talent, invest in our future workforce across all sectors and stem the leakage out of the area.”
This is something which DJS Research Ltd certainly supports, and the Northern agency has spent many years building a strong team which includes numerous young people – particularly those under the age of 25 and under 21. The company also operates a graduate scheme, internship program, apprenticeship scheme and has several short-term work experience students each year. Recent beneficiaries of the graduate and internship scheme include Casie Peet, who travelled from Colorado in the United States to take part in a three month internship; and Suzanne Fisher, who was recently offered a full time research role having initially completed an internship.
The award for training young people will be presented in early October at a black tie event in Stockport.
