DJS Research Ltd Add Strength In Depth, Promote From Within

DJS Research Ltd is pleased to announce the arrival of Kathryn Hadfield, Junior Data Services Executive, and the simultaneous promotions of Laura Crowe, now a Research Executive, and Alistair Smith, now a Data Services Executive.

Kathryn has worked at DJS for the past two years, progressing from telephone interviewing to data input in that time. More recently, she has become an integral part of DJS’ data services team and the quality of her work has been increasingly recognised, leading to her being offered a permanent position in December 2011.
Laura has been with DJS Research in a research role for the last six months, largely in support of Sarah Smith. During this time, Laura has worked on various projects and has shown her proficiency time and again, receiving a well-deserved promotion after only half a year. Laura is progressing well towards the MRS Advanced Certificate in Market and Social Research Practice, and has also continued her role as DJS Research’s work experience co-ordinator – currently she is responsible for the agency’s accounts apprentice. Recently, Laura has also been given the opportunity for involvement in writing briefs and proposals, and has also worked with Sharon Nichols in the Education Sector.
Alistair graduated from the University of Salford with a BSc (Hons.) in Professional Sound and Video Technology. He joined DJS Research’s data team in early 2011. Alastair’s experience in web design and ability to quickly grasp the finer details of numerous processes has led to him receiving a rapid promotion to executive level, where he will continue to develop his skills in providing questionnaire scripting, data exports, Quantum data tables and general data processing and IT support. At the same time he will also take a leading role in training new recruits to the agency’s data services department.
Matt Coulling, who works with all three individuals, though in differing capacities, felt the appointments were more than justified:

Kathryn has consistently shown her attention to detail and ability to learn quickly for many months, she clearly has a real aptitude for the role and she adds yet more depth to the data team.  Laura has, since day one, been thrown in at the deep-end and seems to have handled it remarkably well. She clearly has the drive and ability required in the market research profession and I think she’s been a valuable asset to DJS as an agency. As far as Alistair is concerned, his grasp of the programmes, systems and processes used grows with every project we complete. I hope his promotion encourages him to continue his superb work, and I’m sure the chance to share what he’s learnt with the newer members of the team will also benefit him – teaching is often the best way to complete the learning process!”
