The latest automotive customer satisfaction survey by magazine WhatCar?, which garnered the ratings of 16,000 vehicle owners, has seen Skoda crowned at the top of the league table.
Car owners who gave their opinions in the Auto Express Driver Power study were most satisfied with the Skoda Superb model, while the Skoda 4x4 Yeti came in second.
A spokesperson for WhatCar? commented on the win: “Skoda’s knock-out performance comes on the back of a 20% sales increase in 2012. Winning attributes included practicality that didn’t compromise driving appeal and prices made more affordable by Skoda's no VAT and 0% finance offers.”
Other top car models were Jaguar’s XF model in third place, followed by the Citroen DS3, Lexus RX, Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Passat CC and Volvo S60/V60.
In contrast, the bottom-placed car on the ratings list (116th) was the Chevrolet Spark, with the Alfa Romeo Mito in 115th place and the Fiat Grande Punto/Evo 114th.
Meanwhile, Jaguar was revealed as the top voted car manufacturer. Czech car manufacturer Lexus was rated at second place, followed Honda, Skoda, Mercedes-Benz, Land Rover, Volvo, Toyota, Nissan, Seat and Volkswagen.
Further findings saw the Volkswagen Fox voted as ‘best city car’, the Citroen DS3 as ‘best supermini’, the Toyota Prius as ‘best small family car’ and the Skoda Superb as ‘best family car/compact executive’.
