61% of UK adults think the Government is handling the rollout of Covid-19 vaccines 'well': A YouGov poll has found that six out of 10 UK adults believe the Government is handling the rollout of the Covid-19 vaccine 'well'.

Almost one in five (19%) respondents to the survey which polled 4,765 people on January 18, said they believe it is being handled 'very well', while around two-fifths (42%) said it is being handled 'somewhat well'.

Almost three in 10 (29%) believe it has been handled badly, with 18% saying it has been handled 'somewhat badly', and 11%, 'very badly'.  Almost one in 10 (9%) said they 'don't know'.

Regional findings

People in the south (excluding London) were most likely to say the rollout is going 'very well' (23%), followed by midlands/Wales (20%), north England (19%), London (14%) and Scotland (11%).

The highest number of people thinking the rollout is going 'very badly' was in Scotland, followed by in London (14%).

The survey also reveals that respondents’ views vary depending upon age, with a third of those aged 65+ believing the roll out to be going 'very well', compared to just over a fifth of 50 to 65-year-olds (22%), 13% of 25 to 49-year-olds and 10% of 18 to 24-year-olds.

On the flip side, looking at those who feel the vaccination programme to be going 'very badly' the responses are more in line with each other, with 9% of 65+ year-olds in agreement and 8% of 18 to 24-year-olds, saying the same.
