45% of people believe that new technologies help them to stay organised, finds survey

Phone and laptop45% of people believe that new technologies help them to stay organised: A global survey has revealed that 45.3% of respondents around the world agree that new technologies help them to be better organised day-to-day, with younger people being even more likely to believe this (51.5%). 

The annual WIN World Survey polled over 29,000 people from 36 countries between October and December 2022. 

More than a third of older people (aged 65+) also said that new tech helps them with everyday organisation. Men were slightly more likely to agree that tech helps them to be better organised (47.45) than women (43%), found the study.

When it comes to individual countries, Kenyan respondents were most likely to completely agree with the statement:  – "New technologies allow me to organise better my everyday life" (86%), followed by Thailand (76%), Paraguay (70%) and India (70%). Also ranking highly in the table was Mexico (63%), Vietnam (62%), Philippines (60%) and Turkey (60%). At the bottom of the table was Japan (24%), Netherlands (8%), France (31%), South Korea (32%) and Ivory Coast (32%). Almost two-fifths of respondents in the UK said they completely agree (38%), compared to 46% of U.S respondents.

Sharing personal information

Respondents were also asked about sharing their personal information, with the proportion agreeing that they are concerned about it falling from 48% (2021) to 45% in the most recent survey (2022).

Social networks 

The research also looked at the negative effects of social networks, with 49% of respondents saying they believe that social networks overwhelm their loves. The respondents most likely to completely agree with the statement “social networks overwhelm our life” were those from Kenya (88%), followed by Croatia (80%), Thailand (78%), Slovenia (75%) and Serbia (73%). Almost half of UK respondents completely agreed with the statement, slightly behind the U.S (50%). In the bottom three was Japan (22%), Peru (28%) and Hong Kong (28%). 

The respondents most likely to disagree with the statement was Ivory Coast (35%). followed by Turkey (27%) and Argentia (24%).
