According to a recent survey by London & Partners, the United Kingdom is the number 1 most desirable technology hub for global workers in the industry.Survey finds UK is the top tech hub

The London & Partners survey spoke to 800 technology professionals and discovered that the sample would rather relocate to London than any other rival technology hubs, such as Paris or Berlin.

The market research findings also uncovered that London was one of the world’s top three most popular technology hubs, only beaten by New York and San Francisco.

Boris Johnson MP, the Mayor of London, said of the research findings:

“London is a technology powerhouse. With our competitive business environment and an unrivalled range of culture, arts and entertainment, we are able to attract some of the very best creative and entrepreneurial minds on the planet.

Johnson added:“Since the creation of the Tech City project six years ago, London has emerged as Europe’s fastest growing technology hub while cementing our status as a world-class destination to live and work.”

According to the survey, London was a city highly rated for the simplicity of doing business and also good international travel connections.

Founder of the global advocacy network, Tech London Advocates, Russ Shaw, said of the market research findings:

“London is a truly global city and has all the right ingredients to remain one of the world’s leading tech hubs.

“London offers the world-class financial centre of New York, the thriving technology start-up culture of Silicon Valley, the political and regulatory environment of Washington DC and the dynamic entertainment industry of Los Angeles, all in one city. This creates an environment with unique potential for entrepreneurs.”
