We are delighted to share the exciting news we received just before the New Year; DJS Research is now a Certified B Corporation™.

Why becoming a B Corp matters so much to DJS Research

When DJS Research became employee-owned in 2021, it triggered a deeper conversation about responsibility, accountability, and the kind of business we wanted to be.

As part of that transition, our Managing Director worked with colleagues across the company to co-create a new strategic plan. One theme came through strongly in staff feedback: employee ownership brings with it a responsibility to operate ethically, to look after people, and to ensure the work we do has a positive impact. That feedback helped shape our direction.

Using the B Impact Assessment™ as a tool, not a target

Rather than starting with certification as the goal, we began by using the B Impact Assessment™ as a framework to understand our impact more clearly - across governance, people, community, environment and clients.

It helped us identify what we were already doing well, and where we needed to improve.  

At the same time, we continued to focus on research that supports better outcomes — particularly in sectors where insight can genuinely make a difference.

Becoming a Certified B Corporation™

In December 2025, that work culminated in DJS Research becoming a Certified B Corporation™, verified by B Lab™ as meeting high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability.

Certification assesses the whole business and requires companies to embed a commitment to stakeholders into their governance. B Corps also recertify every three years, ensuring a focus on continuous improvement rather than one-off achievement.

What this means for our clients and partners

For our clients, becoming a B Corp reinforces commitments they already expect from us: integrity, rigour, transparency and long-term thinking.

It doesn’t change the fundamentals of how we work - but it does strengthen the framework that supports them.
