Hot Shop Survey Uncovers Most Up and Coming Online Retail Brands

It has been announced this week that Amazon UK has yet again won the top spot for most popular retail website in the IMRG Experian Hot Shop survey.
Amazon UK has in fact held top position since the survey listing began in 2006. Apple is however fast gaining ground - the technology giant was ranked as the fastest moving retailer in the November edition of the chart.
Apart from rising consumer interest in gadgets and technology, the fashion sector is also experiencing a jump in web traffic. Clothing retailer Asos.com came 12th in the poll listing, New Look reached 13th, Topshop stands at 15th and Very.co.uk is now at 22nd place.
In addition, the survey found that Ticketmaster has seen one of the biggest improvements of the quarter with a 37% increase in traffic, moved it up 16 places to stand at 20th position.
Analyst’s who carried out the survey have predicted that Christmas 2011 will be another record-breaking year for the online retail sector - the UK spent 322 million hours shopping online in October 2011 and this is likely to increase to 350 million hours in December as people get into full swing for their Christmas shopping.
