Best Beaches in Europe and the UK Uncovered by Travel Survey

A new surveyby the travel website TripAdvisor has revealed Europe and the UK’s most beautiful beaches.
Bournemouth was crowned best beach in Britain, and even ranked above Costas and the Canaries as the fourth top beach in Europe.
Travellers rated Oludeniz followed by Icmeler in Turkey as the two best beaches in Europe, while Puerto Alcudia in Majorca was voted in third position.
In the UK rankings for top three beaches, Bournemouth was followed by St Brelade in Jersey and Woolacombe in Devon. Dorset, Swanage and Weymouth also fared well in the UK best beach listing.
TripAdvisor spokeswoman Emma Shaw said: “These awards recognise the UK’s and Europe’s best beach destinations, according to those that really matter – travellers themselves. Bournemouth has long been a popular seaside resort and recent investment in the area has clearly paid off. Not only has it been named the UK’s best beach destination, up from third place last year, but it’s also ranked ahead of almost every Mediterranean beach destination.”
