Company Inform Session 2025

Our company Inform sessions are a regular feature in our internal comms calendar, bringing our people together to share key business news and updates. Thanks to the power of Teams we’re able to run multiple sessions throughout the year to keep everyone informed, ensuring real-time communication. But nothing beats the sense of connection and shared experience that comes with an in-person event — cue our first non-virtual Inform session of 2025, held on May 5th!

Last Thursday, over 80 of our employee Partners from across DJS Research — and all over the UK — gathered at The Light Cinema, Stockport, for an Inform with a difference. The coolness of cinema screen 12, the sweetness of the EO Voice-branded popcorn, and the comfort of reclining armchair seating provided the perfect setting for a packed agenda — on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year so far!

Led by our MD, Al Gleed, the session opened with reflections on last year’s performance and a heartfelt thanks to all our Partners, who continue to go above and beyond to support the ongoing success and diversification of our organisation. This was followed by an in-depth look at the activities of the working groups driving the strategic pillars that underpin our growth strategy. Supported by James Hinde, Sharon Nichols, Chris Rigby, and Lucy Pawson, Al and the team shared engaging insights into both current and future priorities — from product development to CSR plans and people-focused initiatives.

Next up was our ‘Ask the Board’ segment. Partners had been invited to submit questions in advance and topics were wide ranging, covering everything from business focus and benefits to recruitment and productivity. Al addressed these openly and honestly and, while time ran tight, he reassured the audience that any unanswered questions would be followed up in full.

The session wrapped up with a look to the future — our targets and areas of focus heading into 2026. Seeing our progress and ambitions brought to life on the big screen was uplifting and inspiring — the perfect close to a true blockbuster of a show!

Afterwards, we spilled out into the sunshine to eat, drink, and regroup before heading into our next activity, arranged by our ever-enthusiastic Social Committee: a scavenger hunt-style 'Treasure Trail' around Stockport. With a tempting prize on offer —the chance to win an early finish — the challenge was on for most clues gathered and best team selfie. While the pull of the local pubs proved strong for some, valiant efforts were made across the board, with several teams completing the 18-clue trail and snapping plenty of frame-worthy, comedy pics!

Following the heat of the challenge (and with winners still to be crowned), our final stop was a conveniently located pub next to the train station. As we cooled off and reflected on the day - described as "genuine”“authentic”, and a real celebration of the spirit of DJS — it was clear: it’s our people who make our organisation what it is, and for that we are truly grateful.

A huge thanks to our Social Committee, Creative Services team, and everyone involved in organising last Thursday’s event — and to all our Partners who really embraced the day. We're looking forward to the next one already!
